MBNA Balance Transfer Offers For Existing Customers 2023
The MBNA offers for existing customers, have in previous years, most often been an offer of 0% for up to 12, or occasionally 18 months. This is a shorter balance transfer offer than is currently available on the best balance transfer cards, in the UK, in 2023.
It is not yet clear what the effect the purchase of MBNA, by Lloyds Banking Group, will have. This could, for example, greatly reduce, or even stop any of these MBNA balance transfer rates for existing customers, in the future.
The recent coronavirus crisis has also had the effect of greatly reducing the number of these types of offers. All of the UK banks and card companies are now more cautious with balance transfer offers for customers. The Barclaycard balance transfer offers for existing customers were all removed during the pandemic, for example.

A MBNA balance transfer for existing customers. made from any MBNA issued credit card to another credit card company, will generally take no more than a week to complete.
MBNA Balance Transfer
MBNA were one of the largest UK card issuers, in past years. The company issued a wide range of both Mastercard and Visa credit cards. As a result, a MBNA balance transfer deal was available on a very large number of UK credit cards.
MBNA issued cards under the MBNA brand, and they also issued a large number of cards for airlines, charities, rugby and football clubs, for example. However, all of these co-branded credit cards are now no longer available, to any new customer in the UK.
As many people will already know, like all other UK credit card issuers, MBNA do not allow a balance transfer to be made from one MBNA credit card to another.
This means that any MBNA existing customers wanting to make a balance transfer, will not be able to make a transfer to another credit card which is also issued by MBNA.
