As the Mint credit card was issued by RBS, balance transfers to other Royal Bank of Scotland issued credit cards, are not allowed.
The Mint balance transfer card when it was available to new applicants offered customers 0% deals on both balance transfers and also on purchases.
The Mint credit card was also unusual in that it also offered customers a bonus 0% balance transfer offer after the initial 0% introductory balance transfer offer had finished. This bonus 0% balance transfer offer was for a shorter period of around 6 months rather than the longer introductory offer periods now available.
The Mint balance transfer credit card was issued as a MasterCard credit card and is accepted all around the world at millions of locations that accept MasterCard debit and credit cards.
